News and volatility

News is the market's main accelerator. It brings the volume that quickly pushes price to the nearest liquidity zones and FVGs.

The most important events

• NFP — US employment, first Friday of the month;
• CPI — inflation;
• interest rate decisions of the Fed, ECB and other central banks.

Rules

• Don't open new trades 15–30 minutes before important news.
• If a trade is already open, move the stop to breakeven or take partial profit.
• In the first 5–10 minutes after news, the market chaotically hits stops in both directions. Wait for a clear structure on M15.

The spread widens during news — your entry may be worse than in the signal.
